Maryland fs.t Memorandum Septemb.r 6.th 1731
John Davison of Kent County & Shrewsbury Parish Sawer
and John Crackneale and John Campbell both of the
Same place planters personally Came before me the Subscriber one of the
R.t Hon.ble the Lord prop.rys Justices of the peace for the County afd to keep
assignd and acknowledged to owe into the Said Lord prop.ry viz.t The afd John
Davison in the Sum of twenty pounds and the afd John Crackneale & John
Campbell in ten pounds each good and Lawfull money of great Brittain
of their goods & Chattles Lands and Tenements Separately to be made and
Leveyed for the use of his Said Lord Ship his heirs & Successors if
default shall be made in the Condition here under written

    The Condition of this Recognizance is such that if the above
bounden John Davison be and personally appear before His Lord Ship
Justices at Chester Town in Kent County afd the third tuesday in Nov.r
next then and there to abide and Receive what Shall be Enjoyned by the
Said County Concerning his being Charg'd by Rachel Middleton of Shrewsbury
parish in K.t Co.ty a Single woman that he had the Carnall
knowledge of her body and that the Said Rachel Middleton is now with
Child by him the Said John Davison which when born will be a bastard
&c.a  And that he the Said Davison Shall be of good behaviour in the
mean time And do not depart the Court without Licence  Then this
Recognizance to be void otherwise be and remain in force & vertue
Taken and acknowledged before me the day and date as above written

    And now here at this Court to wit at the Court House in the Town of Chester
in Said County on the third tuesday in November being the Sixteenth day
of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one Came the
afd John Davison and in his proper person appeared and prayd that
his recognizance afd and his Suretys for his appearance ^might^ be disch.d
   
    Ordered by the Court here that the Same be discharg'd  Thereupon
the Same John Davison's recognizance is by this Court here disch.d there
being no cause to the Contrary Shewn    Likewise John Crackneale &
John Camble there Recognizances for the appearance of the afd John
Davison at this Court are by this Court here discharged Each
