John Howell John Trew James Norman Evid.cs

    And now here at this Court to wit at the Court House in the Town of Chest.r
in Said County on the third tuesday in August being the Seventeenth day of
Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one came the afd
Benjamin Keare and in his prop.r person appeared and prayd that the afd
Recognizance might be disch.d  Ordered by the Court here that the Same
Recognizance be disch.d  Thereupon the afd Recognizance is by this
Court here disch.d no cause being Shewn to the Contrary

    Ordered by the Court here that Information be Exhibited ag.st Same which
being done and is as foll. viz.t

    Kent County fs  Memorandum that Tench Francis Gent. Attorney of the
Right Honourable the Lord prop.ry that now is for the County afd who for the
Same Lord prop.ry in this part Prosecuteth doth come here into Kent County
Court before William Frisby Esq.r and his associates his Lord Ships Justices
of the Same County Court to wit at Chester Town in the afd County the Seventeenth
day of August Anno Domini Seventeen hundred thirty and one and
for the Same Lord prop.ry doth give the Court here to understand and be informed
that Benjamin Keare of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd planter the
nineteenth day of July Anno Dom. one thousand Seven hundred thirty and
one at the parish afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court in and upon John
Howell in the peace of God and the Said Lord prop.ry then and there being
with force and Arms as assault did make and him the Said John
then and there did beat wound and evilly treat So that of his life it
was much despaired and other harms to him then and there did to the
great damage of the Said John and against the peace of the Said Lord
prop.ry his good rule & government  Wherefore the afd Attorney
prayeth the advice of the Court here in the premisses for the Said Lord
prop.ry and due process of Law against the afd Benjamin in this part
to Issue to answer to the Said Lord prop.ry of and upon the premisses &c.a

    And the afd Benjamin Keare in his proper person comes and Saith that
he Cannot gainsay the Information afd So as afd against him brought nor but that
he is guilty of the premisses above upon him Imposed as by the afd
Information it is alledged And thereupon Submits to the Court Therefore
