the evil Example of all others in Such Case offending Contrary to the peace
of the Said Lord prop.ry that now is his good Rule and Government and against
the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case lately made and Provided

    And the afd Thomas Wiat in his proper person appears to the afd
Indictment and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the Indictment afd So as
afd against her brought nor but that she is guilty of the premisses
above upon him imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged and
thereupon Submits to the Court    Thereupon it is Considered by the
Justices here to wit at the Court House in the Town of Chester in S.d
County on the third tuesday in June Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred
and thirty and That the afd Thomas Wiat pay the Sum of thirty
Shillings Current money it being the fine for Committing the offence
of fornication afd as also pay the Sum of One hundred and fifty
five pounds Tobacco Cost accrueing on the premisses afd to the
officers of this Court

Kent County Be it remembered that on the twenty
Eight day of May Anno Dom one thousand Seven hundred
& thirty one William Pearce Personally Appeared
before me one of the right Honourable the Lord prop.rys
Justices of the said County & Acknowledged himself Indebted
to the said Lord Prop.ry in the sume of twenty pounds Sterling to be levied on his
Lands & tenements goods and Chattles Conditionally that if he doe and shall make
his personall appearance at the next County Court to be held for the said County Court
the third tuesday in June next & answer unto all Such things as ^s^hall be Objected
against him on behalf of the said Lord Prop.ry & in the mean time to keep the
peace and be of good Behaviour to all his Lordships people then this Recognizance
to be Void

    And now here at this Court to wit at the Court House in the Town of Chester
in Said County on the third tuesday in June being the fifteenth day of Said
Month Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and thirty one ^came the afd William Pearce^ And in his
proper person appeared to the afd Recognizance and prayd the
Same might be discharged  Ordered by the Court here that the Same
Recognizance be disch.d    Thereupon the Same Recognizance
is discharged as prayd no cause being Shewn to the Contrary
