of Assembly in that case made and provided        T francis Cler. pac.
On the back of the Same bill was Indorsed viz.t A true bill Matthew Howard

    And the afd Catharine Croley came and in her proper person appeared to
the af Indictment  And Saith that She Cannot gainsay the Indictment
afd So as afd against her brought nor but that She is guilty of the premisses
above upon her Imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged and thereupon
Submits to the Court        Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit
at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in
June being the fifteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred
and thirty one  That the afd Catherine Croley pay the Sum of Six hundred
pounds of Tobacco as a fine for Committing the fornication afd  And also
pay the Sum of two hundred and twenty one pounds of Tobacco costs
accrueing to the officers of this Court on the premisses afd

    Ordered by the Court here that Surety be gave for the fine afd  Thereupon
Came Thomas Wiatt and Said that he would pay the fine afd in
the Judgment afd Specified amounting to the Sum of Six
hundred pounds of Tobacco

    Ordered by the Court here that the Same Catherine prove the
person who Committed the fornication afd with thereupon,
She being Sworn Saith that a Certain Thomas Wiatt was
the person that begett with Child of the bastard afd
And the Same Catherine was Sworn to the Grand Jury
