    Upon motion of M.r Tench francis Clarke of the Indictments that Sumons may made
out for Such Evid.cs in the Shall think fitt to go to the Grand Jury The Same ordered
or prayd &c.a

Henry Shewit
Kent County in Maryland fs  Be it Remembered that on
the 29.th day of Aprill One Thousand Seven hundred thirty one
personally appeared before me the Subscriber one of his Ld
Ships Justices of the peace for Said County Henry Shewit & acknowledged himself
Indebted unto the Right Honble the Ld prop.ry his heirs and Successors in the
Sum of five pounds Sterling money of great Brittain to be Leveyed on his Lands
and Tenements goods and Chattles Conditionally if he do not make his personall
appearance at the next Court to be held for the Said County and in the mean time
to be of good behav.r wherewith he is Content

    At which time came Sam.l Groom of Said County & Likewise acknowledged
himself unto his Lordship his heirs and Successors in the Sum of five pounds
Sterling to be leveyed as afd Conditionally that he the Said Henry Shewit Doe
not make his personal appearance as afd & wherewith he is Content

    At which time came likewise John Jack of Said County and likewise
Acknowledged himself Indebted unto his Said Lordship his heirs and Successors
in the Sum of twenty pounds Sterling to be Leveyd as afd Conditionally if he
Doe not make his appearance at the next Court to be held for the County afd
then and there to prosecute Henry Shewit on Suspicon of felony wherewith
he is Contented

    As also Came Roger Steane of Said County and Acknowledged himself
indebted unto his Said Lordship in the Sum of five pounds Sterling money
to be Leveyed as afd Conditionally if he do not make his personall appearance
at the next Court to be held for the County afd as an Evidence against the
afd Henry Shewit wherewith he is Contented
                        Taken before me                    P Kennard

    And now here at this Court came the afd Henry Shewit to wit on the third
tuesday in June being the fifteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen
hundred and thirty one And in his proper person appeared to his afd
Recognizance and prayd the Same might be disch.d  Ordered by the Court
here the Same be disch.d  Thereupon the Same Henry Shewits Recog.c
taken as afd be disch.d no cause being Shewn to the Contrary  Also
Samuel Groom his recognizance as afd taken for the appearance of the afd
