195 afd is disch.d The Jurors of the right Hon.ble the Lord propry that now is for the Body of Kent County afd upon their Oath do present that Joan Anderson late of S.t pauls Parish in the County afd Spinster the Serv.t of John Wilson of the Same County Innholder the tenth day of February Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court with force and Arms one Suit of Cambrick head cloaths of the value of two hundred pounds of tobacco and one pair cambrick Ruffels of the price of one hundred pounds of tobacco of the goods and Chattles of a Certain William Tidmarsh then and there being found then and there feloniously did Steal take and bear away Contrary to the peace of the Said Lord prop.ry that now is his good Rule and Government and against the form of the Act of Assembly in Such Case lately made & provided T francis Cler. pac. Test W.m Tidmarsh Martha Tidmarsh Lidia Bruton W.m Pearce On the back of the Same Indictm.t was endorsed as foll. True bill Matthew Howard Thereupon Command was given to the Sherf of Kent County that he immediately cause to come here twelve &c.a by whom &c.a who neither &c.a to Recognize &c.a because as well &c.a Of which Said precept the Said Sherf to wit Joseph Young Gent now here at this day to wit on the third tuesday in June Anno Dom. makes Return that he hath here ready twelve &c.a As by his precept he was Commanded And now here afterwards to wit the Same day and year last mentioned come againe the afd Lord prop.ry by M.r Tench Francis his Clarke of the Indictments and Joan Anderson in her proper person And the Jurors of that Jury being impannelled and called likewise came to wit Robert Dunn George Griffith Philip David John Hurt Thomas Massey William Sincocks Chr.r Bellican Sam.l Tovey John Browning Luknor Middleton and Jacob Perkins who being duely Elected tryd and Sworn to Say the truth in the premisses upon their Oath do Say That the afd Joan Anderson is guilty as She Stands indebted of the felony above mentioned and by Robert Dunn there foreman all Say Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in June being the fifteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty one That the afd Joan Anderson for the offence afd Stand half an hour in the pillory and pay four fold of the Goods afd being of the value of fifteen Shillings Amounting In the whole to three pounds Cur.t |
