Kent County in Maryland Memorandum Dec.r 6.th 1730
After Information made to me by Benjamin Clark
of Said County against Charles Smith of Said County
Marrying out of this province The Said Charles Smith appeared before me
the Subscriber one of his Ldships Justices for Kent County afd and Acknowledged
himself Justly Indebted to his Lopp the Sum of Twenty pounds Sterling
money of Great Brittain Upon Condition that if the Said Charles
Smith Shall personally appear before His Lordships Justices of Kent County
Court on the third tuesday of March next then and there to Answer & Stand &
abide Such things or Determination as the Said Court Shall then and there
Enjoyne or Determine against him the Said Charles Smith particularly for
Suspicion of being guilty of a breach of an Act of Assembly of this province
in Marrying out of the Same and in the mean while to be of good behaviour
that then the s.d Recognizance to be Void otherwise to Stand in full
force & Vertue Taken and Acknowledged the day & date as above before
                                                                                        Geo Skirven

    And now here at this Court to wit the third tuesday in March being the
Sixteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. 1730 Came the afd Charles
in his proper person and appeared to the afd Recognizance and
prayd he might be therefrom Discharged    Ordered by the Court
here that the Same Recognizance be disch.d    Thereupon the
Same Recognizance is by This Court there disch.d there being no
cause to the Contrary Shewn &c.a

    Ordered by the Court here That the Same Charles enter into
Recognizance for his app.rc &c.a To next Court to Answer as afd &c.a
                                                                                                        there
