133 well &c.a off which Said precept the Said Sherf to wit Joseph Young Gent now here of this day to wit the Sixteenth day of June Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty makes return that he hath here ready twelve as by his pcept he was Commanded and now here afterwards to wit the day and Year last mentioned Come againe the afd Lord propry by his Attry afd And the afd Robert Anderson of the Jury being impannelled and called likewise came to wit James Thomas Charles Smith John Cooper William Deane Jeremiah Covington James Ringgold jun.r Nicholas Reyley George Skil John Tucker Henry Trulock Tho Hatchenson Benja Griffith who being duely Elected tryd & Sworn to Say the truth in the pmises upon then called do Say Rob.t Anderson is not guilty of begetting the Same base born Child as afd Alledged And do Say they find him Guilty of fornication and by James Thomas there foreman all so Say Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court House in the Town of Chest.r in Said County on the third tuesday in June being the Sixteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty That the Said Robert Anderson pay the Sume of thirty Shillings Cur.t money as a fine for committing the offence of fornication According to the force form and effect of the verdict of the Jurors afd and also pay the Sume of Seven hundred and Nineteen pds of Tobacco Cost accrueing on the premises afd to the officers of this Court Jam.s Smith Clk Ordered by the Court here that the afd fine be Immediately paid And thereupon comes into Court M.r James Calder and Saith he could pay the Same to James Smith
an assault did make and him the Said John then and there did beat wound and evilly treat So that of his life it was much dispared and other harms to him then and there did to the great Damage of the Same John and Contrary to the peace of the Said Lord propry that now is his good Rule and Governm.t &c.a Test James Ringgold Jun.r John Ringgold John Tillard T ffrancis Clk. pacis On the back of the preceeding Indictm.t was endorst as foll A true bill p Gid.n Pearce foreman And the afd Thomas Unick in his proper pson comes and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the Indictm.t afd So as afd against him brought nor but that he is guilty of the premises above upon imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged and thereupon Submits to the Court Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday in June being the Sixteenth day of June Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty That the afd Thomas Unick pay the Sume of five Shillings Sterling money as a fine for to the use of his Said Sherf for Commiting the offence afd as also pay the Sume of two hundred and Seven pds of Tob.o Cost accrueing on the pmisses afd to the officers of this Court Jam.s Smith Clk order |
