    Att A Court Held for Kent County at the Court House in the Town of Chester on Chester
River on the third tuesday in June being the Sixteenth day of Said Month Anno Dom
Seventeen hundred and thirty in the Sixteenth Year of the Dominion of Charles absolute
Lord and Proprietarie of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore
&c.a                        (The Same Court Continued the Seventeenth Eighteenth Nineteenth
twentieth and twenty Second days of the afd Month

 Kent County fs The Jurors for the Right Honourable
the Lord proprietary that now is for Kent County afd upon their
Oath do present that Sarah Parsons late of S.t pauls parish
afd in the County afd Spinster Serv.t to W.m Graves the tenth day
of June Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred twenty & Nine at the parish afd in the County
afd within the Jurisdicion of this Court did Commit fornication with a Certain person to the
Jurors afd unknown and did permit the Same unknown person then and there to have Carnal
knowledge of her body and to beget then and there a Bastard Child on the body of her
the Same to the high displeasure of Almighty God to the Evil Example of all others
in Such Case offending Contrary to the peace of the Said Lord prop.ry that now is his good
Rule and Governm.t and against the form of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and
provided

    On the back of the Same was endorsed as foll viz A True Bill p Gid.n Pearce
                                                                                                    foreman

    And the afd Sarah Parsons in her prop.r pson comes and Saith that She Cannot gainsay the
Indictment afd So as afd against her brought Nor but that She is guilty of the premises
above upon her Imposed as by the afd Indictment it is alledged And thereupon Submits to
the Court Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at the Court House in
the Town of Chest.r on Chester River On the third tuesday in June being the Sixteenth
day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and thirty  That the afd Sarah Parsons
pay the Sume of thirty Shillings Current money as a fine for Committing the offence
afd and also pay the Sume of two hundred and fifteen pounds of Tobacco Cost accrueing
on the premises afd to the officers of this Court

    And by the Court here that She prove the begett.r the Same being Sworn
on the Holy Evangilist of Almighty God to declare the person  Saith a Certain
