109 and ride away Contrary to the Peace of the of the Said Lord prop.ry that now is his his good rule & Governm.t and against the form of the act of Assembly in such Case Lately made and provided Test W.m Copper T ffrancis Cler. pac. On the back of the preceeding Indictm.t was as foll viz.t A true Bill p Gid.n Pearce foreman And the afd George Harrington in his proper person cometh and Saith that he is in no Sort guilty of the premisses above upon him imposed as by the afd Indictm.t it is alledged And thereof he putteth himselfe upon the Country Geo Harrington in p.rp.r pso.n And he who followeth for the Lord prop.ry in like manner Saith he is guilty T ffrancis p Ld prop.ry Thereupon Command was given to the Sherf of Kent County that he Immediately cause to come here twelve &c.a by whome &c.a who neither &c.a To Recognize &c.a Because as well &c.a of which Said precept the Said Sherf to wit Joseph Young Gent now here at this day to wit At the Court House in the Town of Chester in Said County on the third tuesday of March being the Seventeenth day of Said Month Anno Dom. Seventeen hundred and twenty Nine makes return that he hath here ready twelve &c.a as by his pcept he was Commanded And now here afterwards to wit the day and year last mentioned Come against the s.d Lord prop.rtary by his Attry afd and the afd George Harrington in his proper pson and the Jurors of that Jury being impannelled and Called likewise to come to wit Thomas Haskins Samuel Andrews John Ashley William Deane John Walls Christopher Bellican Thomas Hatcheson Matthias Day Thomas Massey Joseph Tralock John Macdougall & Nich.o Maray who being duely elected tryd and Sworn to Say the truth the Premisses upon their Oath do say George Harrington is guilty of Stealing the said Horse as he Stands Indicted and by Thomas Wilkins their foreman all So Say Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here at the time and place last Said That the afd George Harrington Stand in the pillory for the Space of one quarter of an hour and afterwards to Receive on his bare back at the publick whipping post five Lashes til the blood appear as a punishment for his afd Crime of felony according to the force form and effect of the verdict afd also is Considered that the Said George Harrington pay the Sume of Four pounds Current money it being that part the Court adjudges y.e to pay of the four fold being but halfe do also pay y.e Sume of Six hundred and twenty one pounds of Tobacco costs accrueing on the premisses afd to the officers of this Court It is also Considered by the Court here at this day to wit the day and year last mentioned that the Sherf of Kent County to he the afd George Harrington into his Custody and Execute the Punishment in the Judgment afd Specified and afterwards to bring him into Court againe Off which precept the Said Sherf to wit Joseph Young Gent high Sherf of Said County makes Return on the day & year last Said that he hath Executed the Said Judgm.t and also hath here the Said George Harrington before the Court
