on the premisses to the officers of this Court

    Ordered by the Court here That the afd Mary Sharebourn prove on her oath who
was the person that begatt her with Child.  On which the afd Mary being Sworn declares
that Cap.t Robert Anderson was the person that begatt her with Child &c.a

    Order that She pay her fine as afd On which Christian Culley Saith She will pay
the Same w.ch was Accordingly done

Proprietary that now is for Kent County afd upon their Oath do present
that Elizabeth Carr late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd
Spinster the Servant of Cornelius Hurley the tenth day of June
Anno Domini Seventeen hundred twenty and Nine at the parish afd in the County afd
within the Jurisdicion of this Court Did Committ fornication with a Certain Negro person
to the Jurors afd unknown and did permitt the Same unknown person then and there to have
Carnal knowledge of her Body and to begett then and there a bastard Mullatto Child on
the body of her the Same Elizabeth to the high Displeasure of Almighty God to
the Evil Example of all others in Such Case offending Contrary to the peace of the S.d
Lord prop.ry that now is his good rule and Government and against the form of the
Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided

        On the back of the preceeding Indictment was Indorst as foll viz A true bill per

    And the afd Elizabeth Carr in her proper person comes and Saith that She
cannot gainsay the Indictment afd so as afd against her brought nor but that She is
guilty of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed by permitting a Negroe man to
have Carnal knowledge of her Body and to begett her with Child of a bastard Mullato
as by the afd Indictm.t it is alledged And thereupon Submits to the Court Therefore it
is Considered by the Justices here to wit  At the Court House in the Town of Chester in
said County on the third tuesday in March being the Seventeenth day of Said Month Anno
Dom Seventeen hundred and Twenty Nine  That the afd Elizabeth Carr being a Serv.t
as afd Shall finish her time of Service and then Shall Serve her Master four Months
Service for the Damages that the Said Master hath Sustained on Acco.t of the afd
Elizabeth being begatt with Child by a Negro as afd as by her Confession afd
And also at the Expiration thereof Shall Serve to the use of the County for and
during the Term of Seven Years as a punishm.t for Commtiting the offence afd
According to Act of Assembly in Such Case made and provided  And also pay the Sume
of One hundred and Ninety Eight pounds of Tob.o Costs Accrueing on the premisses
afd

    Ordered by the Court here that y.e Said Elizabeth Carr be delivered up to the
Court at the Expiration of her time to be disposed for the above Seven years
