Council may prescribe. The Health Officer shall have power
to appoint, with the approval of the Mayor, such assistants
and officers under him as the Council may allow, and shall be
held responsible under the Mayor for the enforcement of all
ordinances of the town relating to the public health and sani-
tary condition of the town. The Clerk shall keep the minutes
of the proceedings of the Council in a well-bound book, which
shall be open to the inspection of all persons interested therein.
He shall collect and receive the taxes and other moneys due
the town and shall keep and disburse the same in the manner
prescribed by the Council, and shall perform such other duties
as the Council shall prescribe. The Council may allow the
Town Marshall and deputy marshals, the Health Officer and
his assistants, and the clerk, such compensation as they may
deem proper.

SEC. 16. The Council shall, annually, prepare and publish,
not later than the first day of August of each year, a parallel
statement of the appropriations, and the expenditures under
said appropriations, of the funds of the Town, for the pre-
ceding fiscal year. The Council shall also cause to be made
from time to time, during the said three year period, assess-
ments of improvements made and of other property not con-
tained in the general assessment list. And they shall make
such other provisions as in their judgment may be necessary
to carry into full force and effect the assessments herein pro-
vided for.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 5
and T of Chapter US of the Acts of 1922, entitled An Act
to repeal Sections 339, 400, 401 of Chapter 790 of the
Acts of 1912, Sections 143, 154, 155 and 156 of the Code
of Local Laws of Prince George's County (Duckett and
Clagett's Code), relating to plats of subdivisions of laud
and the recording thereof in Montgomery and Prince
George's Counties, and to enact in lieu thereof a general
law for said Montgomery and Prince George's Counties
providing for the preparation, approval and recording of
plats in said counties and the control of building lines,
