CHAPTER 39.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Harford
County to levy annually the sums of money for the support
of John Taylor and Ximena Taylor, his wife, an aged couple
of Cardiff, Harford County, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Harford County be
and they are hereby authorized and empowered to levy an-
nually the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars for the support
of John Taylor and a like sum of one hundred and fifty dol-
lars for the support of Ximena Taylor, an aged couple of
Cardiff, Harford County, Maryland; and they the. County
Commissioners of Harford County, are hereby directed to pay
said sums in their discretion, so levied, to the said John Taylor
and Ximena Taylor, annually.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date June 1st, 1922.

Approved March 14th, 1022.

CHAPTER 40.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 350-5
of Article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Wash-
ington County, Maryland, title "Washington County, " sub-
title "Sharpsburg, " and re-enact the same with amendments
so as to read as follows:

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 350-5 of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, titled "Washington County, " sub-
title "Sharpsburg, " be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments so as to read as follows:

Section 350-5. That all citizens of the State of Maryland,
entitled to right of franchise therein and who have resided
within the corporate limits of the town of Sharpsburg six
months next preceding an election shall be entitled to vote
at said election and all subsequent elections. And shall be
qualified to hold office, either elective or appointive provided
they have so resided in said town five years previous to any
election. And the said voters shall on the first Monday of
September, A. D. 1922, and upon the same day in every
