4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (revised edi-
tion of 1915), title "City of Baltimore," sub-title ''Police Com-
missioner," said new section to be known as Section 745 1/4, to
follow immediately after Section 745 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

7451/4. The time spent by any member of the Police Force
in military service during the world war shall be construed
as having been spent on said Police Force for the purpose of
determining seniority rating. The provisions of this section
shall only apply to those who were members of the said Police
Force when war was declared with Germany and who subse-

quently served overseas and again became members of said
Police Force.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

CHAPTER 368.

AN ACT to authorize the State Roads Commission of Mary-
land to construct and maintain as a part of the State Roads
System a highway over the present public road extending
from Quaker Burying Ground, in the First Election Dis-
trict of Anne Arundel County, to Cedar Point, at West
Shadyside, in the Eighth Election District of said county,
being an extension of the present State Road for a distance
of. approximately, four miles.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the State Roads Commission of Maryland be and
it is hereby authorized and empowered to construct and main-
tain as a part of the State Roads System of Maryland a high-
way over the public road extending from the point where the
State highways ends, about three miles south of Quaker Bury-
ing Ground, in Anne Arundel County, thence to Cedar Point,
at West Shadyside, in the Eighth Election District of said
county, covering a distance of, approximately, four miles; said
work of construction to be begun as soon as practicable after
this Act goes into effect.
