or compensation of each member of the Fire Department of
Baltimore County entitled to participate in the special fund,
which sum shall be deducted every pay day from the pay, sal-
ary or compensation of each and every member of said Fire
Department of Baltimore County by the Treasurer, who shall
deposit the same to the credit of said special fund.

Section 216E. That the County Commissioners of Balti-
more County be and they are hereby authorized to retire from
office in the Fire Department of Baltimore County any perma-
nent member thereof who has become permanently disabled
while in the active performance of duty and place, the mem-
ber so retired upon a pension roll and to allow to each pen-
sioner annually an amount equal to one-half the yearly amount
received by him at the time of his retirement, payable in month-
ly instalments; said allowance, however, shall be subject to in-
crease or decrease in accordance with the yearly amount paid
members of the department doing similar work to the mem-
ber retired, and to be determined from time to time as said
yearly amounts paid might be increased or decreased by the
County Commissioners of Baltimore County. That no mem-

ber of the Fire Department of Baltimore County shall be so
retired until he shall have been examined by the Board of
Examiners herein provided for and their finding as to the dis-
ability assigned as reason for a retirement shall have been
certified by them to the County Commissioners of Baltimore
County.

Section 216F. That it shall be unlawful for any person
unless duly authorized thereto by the County Commissioners
of Baltimore County to wear uniform, badge or insignia of the
Fire Department of Baltimore County or in any manner to
interfere with, mutilate or damage any apparatus, property,
fire alarm box, wires or equipment or appurtenance of the Fire
Department of Baltimore County or in any way interfere with
any member of said department in the discharge of his duties
and any violation of this section shall be punishable by a fine
of not less than five dollars nor more than five hundred dol-
lars or imprisonment for not less than fifteen days nor more
than six months.

Section 216G. It shall be unlawful for any person in the
operation of any vehicle, car, street car, automobile or truck to
obstruct any fire engine in Baltimore County proceeding to a
fire but all such vehicles, cars, street cars, automobiles and
