sum of money not to exceed three thousand dollars per mile for
each mile accepted and taken over by said Commission to
become a part of the State Highway System, and when so ac-
cepted to relieve the County Commissioners of future mainte-
nance of said roads so accepted.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the 1st day of July A. D., 1922.

CHAPTER 262.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12,
13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25, of
Article 16, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title "Montgomery County," sub-title "Alms House," and to
re-enact said Sections, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12,
13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25 with
amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14,
15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25 of Article 16 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgom-
ery County," sub-title "Alms House," be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments!, so as to read as
follows:

Section 1. Be it enacted., That the Trustees of the Poor in
Montgomery County a body corporate, heretofore created be
and the same is hereby dissolved and said corporation shall
cease to function and exist after the 30th day of June A. D.
1922, and said Trustees of the Poor in Montgomery County
shall on or before the date hereinbefore set forth by a proper
conveyance convey and turn over to the County Commissioners
of Montgomery County all of its right, title and interest in and
to any and all lands or other property real or personal held
by it.

Section 2. Be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
shall on the first Wednesday in July in the year 1922 take
over and assume complete control, supervision, jurisdiction
and maintenance of the alms house and the inmates, and shall
thereafter continue to control, manage and maintain said in-
stitution.
