missioners," and to re-enact the same with amendments pro-
viding for salaries of the County Commissioners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 127 1/2 of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "Montgomery County.," sub-title "County Commission-
ers," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments, so as to read as follows:

Section 127 1/2. Be it enacted, That the County Commission-
ers of Montgomery County shall each receive the sum of twelve
hundred dollars per annum, payable monthly, in equal install-
ments, said salary to be in lieu of all other compensation for
duties performed by said commissioners.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect on the
1s day of July, 1922.

Approved April 13th, 1922.

CHAPTER 261.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Montgomery County to borrow money for the purpose of re-
pairing and re-surfacing any stone road built entirely with
county funds or bv State aid or constructed under the Shoe-

maker Road Law in said county, when said road or roads
will be accepted by the State Roads Commission, and to issue
bonds of said county for the money so borrowed of the par
value of sixty thousand dollars."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Montgomery County
be and they are hereby authorized to repair and re-surface any
stone road in said county whether the same was built entirely
by county funds, State aid or under the provisions of the Shoe-
maker Road Law whenever the State Roads Commission of the
State of Maryland shall agree to accept any such road as part
of the State Highway System and to become a part of same
for future maintenance. That upon the acceptance of any road
or roads by the State Roads Commission as herein provided
the County Commissioners shall pay over to said Commission
the sum of three thousand dollars for each and every mile so
taken over by said commission, said three thousand dollars to
