CHAPTER 221.

AN ACT to create a new election district in Wicomico County,
Maryland, to be known as Fruitland District, or Election

District No. 16 of said county, to provide for the proper
registration of the legal and qualified voters therein.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new election district be and it is hereby created
and established in Wicomico County, said new district to be
known as Fruitland District, or Election District No. 16, and
to be formed from a part of Trappe District, or Election Dis-
trict No. 7 of said county.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the new election
district so created shall be as near as practicable within the
following metes and bounds, that is to say: Beginning at
Meadowbrook Bridge, thence following the boundary line be-
tween Wicomico and Somerset County to the New York, Phila-
delphia & Norfolk Railroad; thence with said railroad to the
Eden Road; thence with said Eden Road to the State Road
leading from Salisbury to Allen; thence with said State Road
to the main road leading from said State Road to the place
known as the "Walnut Trees"; thence almost due north to the
Wicomico River, so as to include all the farm of T. W. H.
White, following the boundary line of said farm; thence with
the Wicomico River to Tony Tank Creek; thence with said

creek to Morris's Millpond; thence with said Millpond to the
Meadow Bridge Road; thence with said Meadow Bridge Road
to the place of beginning.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Supervisors of
Elections of Wicomico County shall select and designate the
polling places in the Trappe District, or Election District No.
7, remaining after the formation of the Fruitland District,
and in the Fruitland District, or Election District No. 16.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the said Super-
visors of Elections shall appoint the necessary registration
officers, judges and clerks of election for said new election
district and make all necessary provisions for the registering
and voting; in said new election district as they are now re-
quired by law to do for the other election districts of said
county. For the purpose of correcting the registry of voters
in the Trappe District, or Election District No. 7, it is hereby
made the duty of the Supervisors of Elections of Wicomico
