County to direct and require their clerk to make up from the
registry of the Trappe District, or Election District No. 7, a
registry of the voters for said Fruitland District, or Election
District No. 16, by striking from the said registry of Election
District No. 7 the names of all voters entitled to vote in said
new District No. 16, and to inscribe the same in the new
registration books of said new election district; and when said
clerk shall have erased from the old books and inscribed in
the new books the names of the voters who are entitled to
register only in the said new district, he shall indicate all
cases of erasure by drawing a line in red ink through the
names thus erased or transferred, and shall enter on the old
books, under the heading "Remarks, " the words "Transferred
by formation of new district. "
The Supervisors of Elections shall deliver said new regis-
tries to the registers of voters to be appointed for said new
district at the same time that other registration books are
required by law to be delivered. For his services in trans-
ferring and transcribing said names as herein required, the
said clerk shall receive such compensation as may be deter-
mined by the said Supervisors not to exceed one hundred
($100. 00) dollars, and to be paid by the County Commission-
ers of said county upon the certificate and order of the said
Supervisors of Elections.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the Fruitland Dis-
trict, or Election District No. 16, shall have the status of
other election districts of said county in regard to the appoint-
ment of justices of the peace and constables and for other
judges.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That the said Super-
visors of Elections shall publish in two newspapers of general
circulation in Wicomico County at least two weeks before the
first session of the registers of voters of Wicomico County in
the year 1922 a list of all names erased from the old registries
and inscribed on the new, so that any person whose name has
been improperly erased from the old registries and inscribed
on the new may have ample opportunity to appear before the
registers of voters at their sessions and have the proper correc-
tions made.
SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.
