SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws and parts
of laws inconsistent herewith be and the same are hereby re-
pealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

CHAPTER 167.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 69
of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Caroline County, " sub-title "Crier, " providing
for an increase in the per diem of the crier and bailiffs of
the Circuit Court for Caroline County.

CHAPTER 168.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 534
of Article 17 of the Code of Public Laws of Maryland
(Duckett & Clagett's Edition), title "Prince George's
County", sub-title "Sheriff-Guard to the Jail", said
amendments requiring the guard to be continuously on
duty and providing for compensation.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 534 of Article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (Duckett & Clagett's Edition), title
"Prince George's County", sub-title "Sheriff-Guard to the
Jail", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments so as to read as follows:
534. Said guard, when appointed, shall serve continuously,
and he shall receive for his services the sum of two dollars for
each day, and one dollar for each night he shall serve as such
guard, to be certified by the sheriff, and such amount shall be
levied by the County Commissioners of Prince George's County
for the use of the said guard at their regular term for levying
taxes for each year if any guard shall have been appointed by
the sheriff and serve as aforesaid.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.
