Wicomico County, Maryland, in No. 2741 Chancery, and the
purchase money therefor having been duly paid, the said
George H. Myers and Frederick W. C. Webb, assignees, did
convey to the County Commissioners of Wicomico County the

aforesaid tract or parcel of land therein described to the County
Commissioners of Wicomico County, Maryland, by deed dated
the thirteenth day of August, nineteen hundred and twenty,
and recorded in Liber J. C. K. No. 118, folio 531; and

WHEREAS, The purchase of said parcel of land was necessary
for the purpose of a site for election houses and for the exten-
sion of abutments of the Pivot Bridge across the north fork of
the Wicomico River, where Main Street in the City of Salis-
bury crosses said fork; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the purchase and the conveyance by George H.
Myers and Frederick W. C. Webb, assignees, by deed dated
the thirteenth day of August, nineteen hundred and twenty, to
the County Commissioners of Wicomico County and recorded
in the Land Records in Liber J. C. K. No. 118, folio 531, of
all that lot or parcel of land in Salisbury Election District on
the southerly side of and binding on West Main Street, and on
the northerly side of and binding on the Wicomico River, ad-
joining the "Pivot Bridge, " in the City of Salisbury, Salisbury
Election District, said Wicomico County, Maryland, having a
frontage of seventy-one (71) feet, more or less, on said West
Main Street, and a frontage of eighty (80) feet, more or less,
on the Wicomico River, and a depth of sixty-four (64) feet,
more or less, on its westerly side, and being Lot No. 1 on a
plat filed among the Land Records for said Wicomico County,
Maryland, in Liber E. A. T. 97, folio 172, be and they are
hereby ratified and confirmed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Wicomico County may at any time in their dis-
cretion sell at public or private sale all of said lot or any par-
cel thereof, when same may not be necessary for county pur-
poses or uses, and convey and execute a deed or deeds therefor,
and the purchase money be applied to the general expenses of
Wicomico County, and said Commissioners may lease any part
or parcel thereof and apply the rental thereof to the general
expenses of Wicomico County.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.
