and said County Commissioners of Cecil County are hereby
authorized and empowered to lew annually by taxation for
such sums as may be appropriated by them under the provi-
sions of this Act in the annual levies for taxation in Cecil
County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

CHAPTER 146.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 1
and 2 of Chapter 442 of the Acts of 1906, entitled "An Act
to authorize the County Commissioners of Wicomico County
to sell the Wicomico County Almshouse Farm, and to pur-
chase a new site for the County Almshouse, and erect suit-
able buildings thereon, " and relating to the sale of the Coun-
ty Almshouse Farm and the disposition of the proceeds there-
of.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 1 and 2 of Chapter 442 of the Acts of 1906,
entitled "An Act to authorize the County Commissioners of
"Wicomico County to sell the Wicomico County Almshouse
Farm, and to purchase a new site for the County Almshouse,
and erect suitable buildings thereon, " be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
1. The County Commissioners of Wicomico County be and
they are hereby authorized to sell at public or private sale the
whole or any part of, or all that piece or parcel of ground
known and used as the County Almshouse Farm, situated and
lying in Quantico Election District, Wicomico County, Mary-
land, on the easterly side of and binding upon the county
road leading from the town of Quantico to Rewastico Mills,
containing one hundred and ninety-seven acres of land,
more or less, being the same property that was conveyed
to the County Commissioners of Wicomico County by Levin
T. H. Irving, trustee, by deed dated October 20, 1871, and re-
corded among the Land Records of said Wicomico County,
Liber T. F. J. R. No. 3, folio 24, and to convey the said prop-
erty to the purchaser or purchasers thereof; provided, that be-
