sunset on the days preceding Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
and Saturdays, for the purpose of securing a berth for the
following gunning days, named above; and said boat or vessel
or craft made stationary as herein provided shall be required
to display only such lights or signals as required by the
Federal Laws of the United States of America, governing navi-
gation; provided, that such boat or vessel or craft shall place
no decoys in the water northward of the line mentioned in
Section 498 until 4. 30 A. M., on the days on which gunning
for water fowl is permitted, and any person violating this
Section shall be subject to a fine of not less than fifty dollars
and not more than one hundred dollars.

CHAPTER 123.
AN ACT to amend an Act entitled "AN ACT TO INCOR-
PORATE THE MARYLAND HISTORICAL SOCIETY, "
passed at the December Session of Eighteen Hundred and
Forty-three, Chapter Three Hundred and Twelve, and the
supplement thereto, passed at the December Session Eigh-
teen Hundred and Forty-four, Chapter One Hundred and
Twenty-eight so as to authorize said corporation to acquire
and hold property to the value of Three Hundred Thou-
sand Dollars.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General assembly of Mary-
land, That the Act entitled "An Act to incorporate the Mary-
land Historical Society, '' passed at the December Session Eigh-
teen Hundred and Forty-three Chapter Three Hundred and
Twelve, and the supplement thereto passed at the January
Session Eighteen Hundred and Forty-four, Chapter One Hun-
dred and Ninety-eight, be and the same are hereby amended so
as to authorize said corporation to acquire in the manner set
forth in its said Act of Incorporation, and said supplement
thereto, and to hold property real and personal to the value of,
not exceeding the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
