CHAPTER 16.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 23 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, title "Wicomico County, " sub-
title "County Commissioners, " said new section to be known

as Section 15A and to follow immediately after Section 15

of said Article, providing an annual salary for the County
Commissioners.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Nary-
land, That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article
23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Wi-
comico County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, '' said new
section to be known as Section 15A, to follow immediately after

Section 15 of said Article, and to read as follows:

15A. Each County Commissioner of Wicomico County

shall receive an annual salary of four hundred dollars, payable
monthly during the term of such County Commissioner, or pro-
portionate part thereof; the payment of said salary shall be
provided for in the annual levy in each and every year, and
paid in the same manner as other indebtedness of said county
is paid.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.

Approved March 1st, 1922.

CHAPTER 17.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the municipal corporation
the Town Commissioners of Centreville, to purchase the
lot, with the building thereon, now occupied by the Town
Commissioners of Centreville and the Good Will Fire Com-
pany of Centerville, situate in the town of Centerville cm
Water Street, and to acquire title thereto, and to borrow
upon the faith and credit of said municipal corporation
the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5000. 00), or so much
thereof as may be necessary, for the purpose of purchasing
said building and lot; to execute the promissory notes of
said municipal corporation and for a period not exceed-
ing three years from August 15th, 1922; and, at time of
the annual levy in the years 1922, 1923, 1924 and 1925 to
