ALBERT C. RITCHIE, GOVERNOR. 1593

Lower Sinepuxent, from Showell to St. Martin's Station, from
Showell to Gray's Corner, and to erect one and one-eighth
miles of road in the incorporated limits of Berlin, which is
equal to the mileage built by the town of Berlin, and one (1)
mile in Ocean City, all of which was passed in the session of
1920.

WHEREAS, It is conceded by the people of the State it is
necessary to build more hard-surfaced latteral roads, we re-

quest that the State Roads Commission use every effort in lo-
cating some cheaper method of building our latteral roads, as
thousands of farmers are now deprived of the benefit of any
improved road, yet they are paying taxes in proportion to
others; and be it further

Resolved, That we request the State Roads Commission, for
the sake of safety, to remove many small culverts or widen OD
the highways of our State at dangerous places for the safety of
the public, since the increase in traffic. It is further recom-
mended that all revenues from automobile license and trucks
and gasoline be applied to the maintenance and widening the
roads of Maryland.
