ident of said County Commissioners and countersigned by the
Clerk thereof, with the corporate seal of the said County Com-
missioners attached, and said note or notes are expressly de-
clared to be a direct obligation upon Anne Arundel County.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and the
same being passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly shall take effect upon the date of its
passage.

Approved March 14th, 1022.

CHAPTER 81.

AN ACT to Authorize, empower and require the Commissioners
of the town of Cambridge, in Dorchester County, Mary-
land, to issue interest bearing coupon bonds to the amount
of twenty thousand dollars ($20, 000. 00), for the purpose
raising money to pay for permanent improvements made
in the said town by the Commissioners thereof during the
year 1921, and to pay for other permanent improvements
necessary to be made in the said town, and to levy and
collect a tax upon all of the assessable property within
the corporate limits of the said town, sufficient to pay the
interest on and the principal sum of the said bond, as the
same shall mature after their issue.

WHEREAS, during the year 1921, the State Road Commis-
sion of Maryland, constructed within the corporate limits of
the town of Cambridge, a concrete road fifteen feet wide be-
ginning at the point where the already built state road ended
at the said corporate limits on Washington Street and from
thence running through Washington Street to Race Street
and thence through Race Street, in a southern direction, to
the said corporate limits and the end of another built state
road, the said state road being located in near the middle of
the said streets. And

WHEREAS, on account of the great public use of the said

Washington and Race Streets, where the said state road was

built, it was a public necessity that the surface of the said
