amount to be applied together with the amount so tendered
by said persons to the building or repairing of said road; pro-
vided that the said persons so applying shall appoint one per-
son and the said road commissioner one person under whose
direction and management the said road shall be built or re-
paired, and the said road commissioner shall pay all orders
for work done and materials furnished on or for the aforesaid
road, when said orders are endorsed by the two persons ap-
pointed as aforesaid; provided the amount paid out shall not
exceed the amount provided for hereinbefore.
SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That Chapter 322 of
the Acts of 1920 be and the same is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 533.
AN ACT to repeal Section 50A of Article 6 of the Code of
Public Local Laws., title "Caroline County," sub-title "Clerk
to the County Commissioners," as enacted by Chapter 34 of
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1912,
and to re-enact same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 50A of Article 6 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Caroline County," sub-title "Clerk to the
County Commissioners," be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, so as to read as follows:
Section 5 O A. The County Commissioners of Caroline Coun-
ty shall between the first day of March and the first day of
June, beginning with the year nineteen hundred and twenty-
two, and every two years thereafter, appoint a clerk to the
County Commissioners of said county, who shall take office on
the first day of July next ensuing his appointment and who
shall hold his office for a term of two years; and the said clerk
to the County Commissioners shall receive a salary of twelve
hundred dollars ($1200.00) per annum and he shall receive
no extra compensation for any service rendered the county.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1922.
