or repeal this Act; provided, however, that it shall be unlawful
for said convention, or any officer, agent or member thereof,
to make any contract or arrangement by which the powers and
rights of vestries, as conferred by the laws of this State, shall
be modified, altered or suspended, and it shall be unlawful to
expend any of the funds of said convention for such a pur-
pose.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on the first day of June, A. D. 1922.

CHAPTER 510.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 122
of Article 39 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Fish
and Fisheries," the said section relating to beating of waters
for the purpose of driving fish into nets.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 122 of Article 39 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
Section 122. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons
to whip or.beat the waters of any river, creek, cove, inlet or
tributary within the limits of this State with poles, sticks, or
any other thing, for the purpose of driving fish into thresh
nets, seines, nets, fish baskets, or any other contrivance for
catching fish, and any person violating this section shall be
subject to the fines and forfeitures prescribed by Section 115
of this Article, provided that nothing in this section shall be
construed to apply to the waters of Kent County, and Queen
Anne's County, except to the waters of the Sassafras River
and its tributaries.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That this Act shall take effect on the first day
of June, 1922.
