not heretofore been made against the said respective districts,
that the proportion of money paid on behalf of any single dis-
trict shall be a charge against such district.
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the county treasurer shall
keep in a book to be provided for this purpose a full registry
of the bonds sold, the different series thereof, the serial num-
bers of the bonds, the amount for which said bonds are sold
to any individual or corporate purchaser, and the name of the
purchaser and a statement of the whole coupon indebtedness;
and as the said coupons are paid to make an entry of the same,
and whatever coupons are paid and redeemed it shall be the
duty of the said County Commissioners to have the same burned
in the presence of a majority of the said County Commissioners
and a minute thereof entered on the record of their proceedings.
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1922.

CHAPTER 509.
AN ACT to empower the Convention of the Protestant Episco-
pal Church of the Diocese of Washington to hold property
in the counties of Charles, Montgomery, Prince George's
and St. Mary's.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church
of the Diocese of Washington, which has been incorporated by
Acts of Congress approved March 16, 1896, and February 2,
1907, shall have full power and authority to acquire by lease,
purchase, gift, devise and bequest and to hold real and personal
property in the counties of Charles, Montgomery, Prince
George's and St. Mary's for the establishment and maintenance
of churches, chapels, parsonage houses and parish halls and to
sell, alien, transfer and encumber such property; provided,
that not more than one acre of ground shall be acquired or
held in connection with each of such churches and chapels;
and provided further, that any devise or bequest of any prop-
erty in said counties to said Convention shall be void unless
sanctioned by the General Assembly; and provided further,
that the General Assembly reserve the right to modify, amend
