tion 747A of the said Article as the said section was added
to said Article by Chapter 223 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1918; to repeal Section 752 of
said Article; to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sec-
tions 749, 757 and 763 of the said Article, so as to increase
the pay of persons holding certain offices, and to make cer-
tain changes in the offices, ranks, grades and duties of such
persons.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new section be and the same is hereby added to
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, Re-
vised Edition of 1915, title "City of Baltimore,'' sub-title
''Police Commissioners," said section to follow immediately

after Section 740 of said Article, and to be known as Section
740A; that Sections 741, 742, 743 and 74,5 of the said Arti-
cle, as the said Sections 742 and 745 were repealed and re-
enacted with amendments by Chapter 3 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1920, be and the same are
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read
as hereunder; that Section 7452 of the said Article, as the said
section was repealed and re-enacted with amendments by Chap-
ter 3 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1920,
be and the same is hereby repealed; that Sections 745D, 745F
and 745G of said Article be and the same are hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as hereunder; that
Section 745H of said Article, as the said section was repealed
and re-enacted by Chapter 3 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland of 1920, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as here-
under; that Sections 745I and 745J of the said Article be and
the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments
so as to read as hereunder; that Section 746 of the said Arti-
cle, as the said section was repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments by Chapter 3 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1920, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments so as to read as hereunder; that
Section 747A of the said Article as the said section was added
to the said Article by Chapter 223 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland of 1918, be and the same is hereby re-

pealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as here-
under; that Section 752 of said Article be and the same is
hereby repealed; that Sections 749, 757 and 763 of the said
