SEC. S. And be it further enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the treasurer to keep a fair and regular account of all the
property and funds received and all disbursements made by the
trustees, to open an account in bank where all money shall l>e
deposited in the name of the corporation which shall be sub-
ject to his check countersigned by the president.
SEC. 9. And be it further enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the secretary to keep a full and fair record of all the pro-
ceedings of the Board of Trustees in a book provided for that
purpose subject at, all times to 1;he inspection of the several
members of the church, and the trustees shall cause the same
together with the treasurer's account to be laid before the an-
nual meeting for the election of officers.
SEC. 10. And be it further enacted, That the Minister in
charge shall have power to call a members meeting at any time
when in his judgment the interest of the church demands
it or any seven members in good standing may at any time call
such a meeting.
SEC. 11. And be it further enacted, That whenever the said
Hampden Methodist Protestant Church by death, removals or
any other cause shall cease to be an organized religious or wor-
shipping body or society or shall cease to be connected with
the said denomination of Christians known as the Methodist-
Protestant Church then all the real and leasehold property and
estate of this corporation at such time shall belong to the
Maryland Annual Conference of the Methodist Protestant
Church to be disposed of by the said annual conference. The
president of said conference in such to have authority to sell
and convey the same should the conference so direct.
SEC. 12. And be it further enacted, That all the lands and
tenements and other property of said church shall be vested in
this corporate body and their successors forever, and when au-
thorized by a vote of two-thirds of the members present of
said church over the age of twenty-one years, said vote beinir
cast at a meeting or meetings regularly called for the purpose,
they shall have power to bargain and sell, purchase and acquire,
lease, mortgage or convey or otherwise dispose of property in
such manner as they may judge most conducive to the interest
of said church but without such authority the trustees shall
neither purchase, lease, nor sell, nor otherwise acquire or dis-
pose of property nor erect any building for the use of said
church.
