the body politic and corporate. Until the first said annual
meeting, and until their successors are elected and qualified,
the said Luther J. Cox, James F. Gibson, Jacob Baughman,
John Knight, Thomas J. Bond and Elisha Karr shall serve as
such trustees and together with Daniel AY. Bates, the Min-
ister in charge for the time being, or his successor or successors,
shall form the said body politic and corporate.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That there shall be an
election for six trustees, to be held at the annual membership
meeting of the church in each and every year, or within ten
days thereafter, a notice of which election shall have been
given on the previous Sabbath from the pulpit of the church
of this station but if no notice be given the election shall
nevertheless be held within the time above specified.

SEC. 4. And l)e it further enacted, That every election of
trustees shall be by ballot. Xo person shall be eligible as trus-
tee after the first election, unless he shall have been a member
of the church at least one year preceding the election and
be over the age of twenty-one years. All persons in full mem-
bership above the age of twenty-one years shall be entitled to
vote if present and no other persons whatever. The evidence
of membership shall be the name of the person in good standing
on the church record.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That in ease of death,
resignation or disqualification by ceasing to be a member of the
said church or removal from the charge or otherwise of any
member or members of the Board of Trustees the remaining
trustees shall fill up said vacancy or vacancies by suitable per-
sons to serve until the next election, and a majority of the
actual trustees for the time being shall at all times be a quorum
for the transaction of business.

SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That at all meetings of
the trustees the Minister in charge for the time being shall
be-president, and in case of the absence or death of the Min-
ister, the Board of Trustees may appoint one of their own body
president pro tem, who shall have all the authority, power
and privilege of the president during his absence or in case of
his death until the appointment of another Minister.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the trustees shall
appoint from their own body a treasurer and secretary.
