1022 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 464

For completing State's contribution to Memorial to the Sol-
diers, Sailors and Marines of the World War, $200,000, of
which $125,500 shall be from the issue of February 15, 1923,
and $74,500 from the issue of August 15, 1923.

To Crownsville State Hospital, for new Service Building
and equipment, $200,000; for boiler, $4500; for completing
sewage disposal plant, $15,000; total, $219,500; all from the
issue of August 15, 1923.

To St John's College, for new heating plant, $20,000, from
the issue of August 15, 1922.

For the construction and equipment of additional dormi-
tory or other necessary buildings and improvements at the
Maryland State formal School at Towson, $150,000, of which
$54,000 shall be taken from the issue of February 15, 1923,
and $96,000 from the issue of August 15, 1923.

For the purchase of land for and the construction and equip-
ment of a State Xormal School to be located at Salisbury,
$117,000, all from the issue of August 15, 1923.

For the construction and equipment of additional dormitory
or other necessary buildings and improvements at Frostburg
State Xorinal School, $55,000, all from the issue of August
lo, 1923.

For necessary construction, improvements and equipment at
the Maryland formal and Industrial School at Bowie, $10,-
000, all from the issue of August 15, 1923.

For Washington College, for arid on account of indebtedness,
$30,000, all from the issue of August 15, 1923.

To State Roads Commission, and its successor, the Director
of Public Safety, to be applied in its or his discretion for the
protection of the inlet and beach at Ocean City, $25,000, all
from the issue of August 15, 1923.

Provided, however, that in case any balance remains to the
credit of any of the above mentioned institutions after the com-
pletion of any of the purposes specified, then such institutions
may expend such balance upon any building, construction or
equipment purpose which may be approved by the Board of
Public Works.

SEC. 7. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of the several counties of the State and the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore are hereby respectively directed
to levy the State taxes for the year 1923 at one-fourth (a4 ) of
one cent on each one hundred dollars ($100.) of assessable
