FEDERATE DELEGATION. 01

In 1779, George Plater, William Paca, Wil-
liam Carmichael, John Henry, jr. James Forbes
and Daniel St. Thomas Jenifer, esquires, were
the delegates.

In 1780, Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer, John
Hanson, John Henry, jr. and George Plater.

In 1781, Samuel Chase, Diniel Carroll, John
Hanson, Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer, Richard
Potts. Turbut Wright, and William Hemsley.

In December, 1761, Samuel Chase, Turbut
Wright, D. Carroll and Alexander Hanson,
were elected delegates from Maryland.

la September 1782, Mr. William Hemsley
took his seat.

In March, 1783, Mr. Thomas Sim Lee, took
his seat. In June of the same year, Mr. James
McHenry took his seat.

In the congress which met on the 3d No-
vember, 1783, Daniel Carroll, and James
McHernry,appeared and took their seats. On the
9th December, of that year, John Hull and je-
remiah Townley Chase, were duly elected ad-
ditional members from Maryland. The latter
gentleman took his seat on the 15th of that
month.

Mr. J. T. Chase, Mr. Lloyd and Mr. Stone,
attended the congress of 174.

No delegate from this state attended the con-
gress which met at Trenton in November, 1784.

On the 4th December, 1784, Samuel Chase,
James McHenry and Gustavus Scott, were duly
elected to represent the state of Maryland in the
