943 in horse or foote Dureing such terme as they oficiate or beare such office as aforesaid Provided that this clause shall not Extend to such persons as already have or shall hereafter accept of Commissions for Millitary service from his Lopp the Lord Prop.ry or his Le.tt Gen.ll for the time being so as to Discharge such persons from there Respective charges Mentioned in such there severall & Respective Commissions Neither shall this clause nor any parte therof be construed or taken to Exempt any Delegate Majestrate or Constable as aforesaid from sending into the field to Musters & training Either horse or foote when and as often as Due Notice or sumons shalbe them be given as aforesaid some other person or persons in his or there stead & place soe provided or Equipped as afored upon forfeiture as aforesaid And Bee it Enacted by the authority aforesaid that all Negroes and Slaves w.tsoever shalbe Exempted the Duty of training or any other Millitary service That the Pay for the officers & souldiers of the foote & horses aforesaid be not other then is hereafter Mentioned and for Noe Longer times then such officers & souldiers shalbe in actuall service (To witt) to Every Maj.r generall being cheif Command.r in the field Three Thousand pounds of Tobaccoe p Moneth To Every Coll of foot Two Thousand pound of Tobaccoe p Moneth To a Maj.r of foot Twelve hundred pound of Tobaccoe p Month To a Capt.n of foot One Thousand pound of Tobaccoe p Month To a L.tt of foot seven hundred pds of Tobbaccoe p Month To an Ensigne six hundred pds of Tobaccoe p Month To a Serjeant foure hundred pds of Tobaccoe p Month To a Corporall foure hundred pds of Tobaccoe p Month To a Drummer foure hundred pds of Tobaccoe p Month And to Every Private |
