942 Clk sd Sheriffe w.thin this Pvince Respectively shall have what shal pertaineth to there offices w.thout any fee or Reward and for sitting the Hers forces That Each Cap.tn of her in Each respective County shall for the Makeing up his Troop Elict & Enlist his Number of Men out of the Inhabitants of the said county according to such Instructions as he shall from time to time receive from the Lord Prop.ry his heirs and successors or his or there L.tt for the time being Provided alwaies that such Troopers shall Ride their own horses and Noe person shalbe a Trooper w.thout he be owner of A good serviceable Horse w.ch shall pass Muster and the such Troopers in concideracon of there great Pay hereafter to be allowed be bound and obleidged to find themselves with able and good sufficient furniture for there horses and Likewise to find them selves w.th swords Carbine Pistols houlsters and amunition and if any Trooper shall Neglect and refuse uppon Notice given in Muria aforesaid to the foote to appear at Musters at the time & place aforesaid appointed by Each Respective Capt.n of horse accoutred Equiped as aforesaid shall forfeit & Pay the summ of One hundred pounds of Tobaccoe to the Lord Prop.ry to be Levied in Maner as aforesaid for the use of the troope for Trumpett & Callers and other Necessaryes as the Comander shall think fitt and that such Troopers for & in Concideracon aforesaid at all such times as they are out a Ranging shall find there own Provission but when in actuall service then to be found Provissions at the charge of this Province to be payd by the Publicke and if it shall happen that any Troopers horse be kiled then the sd Trooper to be payd by the Publick for the said horse and not otherwise That all Preists Delegates Majestrates and Constables shall in there pper persons be Exempted from being compelled to Muster and training at |
