Thomas Thackiston of this County was som.d to Answer
to Richard Lamb of Dublin in y.e Kingdom of Ireland [illegible]
in A plea that he Render unto him y.e sum of one hundred
twenty eight pounds of tobacco which to him he oweth &
from him unjustly Detaineth

And Whereupon y.e s.d Richard by W.m Harris his Attorny
Complaineth & saith: That y.e s.d Thomas: the twenty
sixth Day of August in y.e yeare of ou.r Lord God
one thousand six hundred eighty four Did grant himselfe
to be bound to him y.e s.d Richard in y.e sum of nine
hundred twenty Eight pounds of tobacco as may Appeare
& his Certaine writting from under the hand & seale of
him y.e s.d Thomas & herein Courtt produced Whose Late
is y.e Day & yeare Aboves.d yett y.e s.d Thomas y.e s.d sum
afores.d If him y.e s.d Richard Although often Thereunto
Required but y.e same to pay hath refused & as yett Doth
refuse to y.e Damage of y.e s.d Richard the sum of twelve
hundred pounds of tobacco & thereupon he brings his suit
