By William Harris and the rest of his Associates his sd Maj.ties
Justices for sd County of Cæcil within the Jurisdicon of this
Court the said Jacob att the time and place aforesd Recovered
ag.t the sd William Evans as well the sume of Eight Hundred &
Fifty poundes of Tobaccoe Debt as allsoe the sume of Two
hundred Eighty and Nine poundes of Tobaccoe cost of suit
Expended and laid out in said Cæcil Court by reason of the
said William his deteining the same debt as by the Records of
the said County Court a Transcript wherof is here in Court
brought the same may appear Yett Neverthelesse the said
William the aforesd sume of 1199.ll poundes of Tobaccoe according
to the Ten.r of the same Judgm.t unto the said Jacob he hath
not paid but the same to pay hath denied and refused and still
doth deny and refuse to the damage of the said Jacob 2278.ll of
Tobaccoe and therupon he brings this suit

To which the sd Defend.t comes into Court and saith he
hath nothing to Alledge why Judgm.t should not be Awarded
for the same

Therfore it is considered by this Court that the Plt Jacob
Gibson doe recover from the defend.t as well the William
Evans as well the aforesaid sume of Eleaven Hundred Thirty
and Nine poundes of Tobaccoe as allsoe the sume of Two
hundred Twenty and Three poundes of Tobaccoe cost of suit

Command was given to the sheerif of Kent County the 26.th day
of November Anno Dom 1697 that he take William Evans if
he should be found in his Bailiwick and him safe Keepe soe
that he have his Body before his Maj.ties Justices att the next
Court to Answer unto Jacob Gibson of a plea that he render
unto him Eleaven pair of Iron spansels and Two Hundred Eighty
and Nine poundes of Tobaccoe which &c.a
