Command was given to y.e sheerif of Kent County the 25.th day
of November Anno Dom 1697 that by good and Lawfull men
of his Bailiwick he make Knowne unto James Conway soe
that he be and appeare before his Maj.ties Justices att the next
Court to shew cause &c.a why Execucon should not Issue ag.t him
for 1618.ll of Tobaccoe as Security for John Chase

Att which Court viz the 15.th day of Feb.ry Anno Dom 1697
the day by adjournm.t of sd Writt came Cap.t Edward Sweatnam
high sheerif of sd County and made returne of sd writt in
these words viz made Knowne to the within James Conway
before Simon Wilmer and W.m Smith that he be and app.r
the next Court to shew cause why Execucon should not Issue
ag.t him for the within menconed sume of Tobaccoe p
Edw Sweatnam sheft

On which sd day the sd James Conway in his proper pson
appeares but shewing no cause why the same should not be
condemned Judgm.t is Awarded for sd sume of 1618.ll of Tobacco

Therfore it is considered by this Court that the plt Michael
Miller have Execucon ag.t the Defd.t James Conway for the
sume of sixteen hundred and Eighteen poundes of Tobaccoe
