And the sd John Salter by Richard Macklin his Attorney
saith that Whereas the sd George on the 2.d day of Feb.ry
Anno Dom 1685/6 in sd County within the Jurisdicon of this Court
by his certain bill or Writing obligatory sealed with his
seale as his Act and deed delivered and here in Court brought
did bind himselfe his Heires or Assignes to pay unto the sd
John Salter his Heires or Assignes the full or just quantity
of One Thowsand Eight hundred and Forty poundes of
Tobaccoe quallified as aforesd or the value therof in Inch
plank att Three hundred p Thowsand upon all demand
after the date of the same bill the sd Tobaccoe to be paid
convenient in Kent County or plank saw on by order
of the sd John Salter Yett notwithstanding the sd George y.e
sume of 1840.ll of Tobaccoe nor the value therof in Inch
Plank according to the Ten.r of the same bill he hath
not paid alltho often demanded but the same to pay
he hath denied and refused and still doth deny and refuse
to the damage of the sd John Salter 3680.ll of Tobaccoe &
therupon he brings this suit

ag.t John Blackiston who became Especial Bail to y.e
sd accon w.ch is accordingly ordered

Therfore it is considered by this Court that the plt
John Salter doe Recover from the sd John Blackiston
who became Especial Bail for y.e Defend.t George Hope
in the above Accon as well the sd sume of One Thowsand
Eight hundred and Forty poundes of Tobaccoe as allsoe the
sume of two hundred seaventy & one pound of Tobacco
