France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith To M.r John
Hynson and M.r Hanse Hanson and Thomas Smith of Kent County
Gent Greeting Wee do Authorise and Impower You the said
Hans Hanson and Thomas Smyth or either of You to Administer
the Oathes appointed by Act of Parliam.t instead of the Oathes
of Alleigance and Supremacy as allsoe the Oath of Justice to the
saw John Hinson and You the sd John Hynson haveing taken the
said Oathes are to Administer the same unto the sd Hans Hanson
and Thomas Smyth and the rest of the Justices and Com.rs of the
sd County respectively as they are Nominated in the Within Written
Commissions And that You and every of You doe severally subscribe
the Test and for soe Doeing this shall be Your sufficient Authority
hereof fail not and when You have soe don You are to Certifie
the same under Your hands and seales unto us in our high Court
of Chancery with all convenient speed Witnesse our Trusty and
well beloved Francis Nicholson Esq Cap.t Gen.ll and Governor in
Cheif in and over our Province and Territory of Maryland
this sixteenth day of June in the Ninth Yeare of our Reigne Annoq
