Phillip Hopkins of Kent Count Gent Know Yee for the great trust
and confidence Wee have in Your Fidelities circumspection prudences
and Wisdoms have constituted ordained and appointed and by these
p.rsents Doe constitute Ordaine and appoint You the said William
Frisby John Hynson Hanse Hanson Thomas Smyth James Smith
Charles Hynson Thomas Ringgold and Phillip Hopkins Commiss.rs
Joyntly and severally to Keepe the Peace in Kent County and to Keep
and cause to be Kept all Lawes and orders for the conservacon of the
Peace and for the quiett rule and Governm.t of the people in all &
every the Articles of the same and to Chastize and punish all psons
offending against the forme of any of the Lawes and Orders of
this our Province or any of them in Kent County aforsd as according
to the Lawes and Orders shall be fitt to be don Wee have allso
Constituted and appointed You and Every Four or more of You of which
You the said William Frisby John Hynson Hanse Hanson and Thomas
Smyth or One of You are all wais to be One of the Commissioners
to Enquire by the Oathes of good and Lawfull men of Your County afd
of all manner of Felonies Witchcrafts Inchantm.ts sorceries Magick
Art Trespasses Forestalling ingrossings and Extortions whatsoever
and of all and singuler other misdeeds and offences whatsoever of
the Peace in England may or ought Lawfully to Enquire by whomsoever
or wheresoever don or perpetrated or which hereafter shall be don
or pepetrated in the County aforsd against the Lawes and Orders
