756 And now here att this day viz the 23.th day of June Anno Dom 1697 came the said W.m Ford in his proper person and the matter standing for Tryal The Clerk of the Indictm.ts prefers this Foll Indictm.t
otherwise called W.m Ford and Eliz.a Laycock wife of John Laycock of said County att Langfords Bay hundred in sd County within the Jurisdicon of this Court for incontinent liveing Together against his Maj.ties Lawes in such case and provided Macklin p Dom Rege To which Indictment the said W.m Ford pleaded not guilty and for Tryal put himselfe upon God and the Country Hemsley p Def And the King in like manner Macklin & Dom Reg Command was therfore given to the sheerif that he cause Twelve good and Lawfull men of his Bailiwick to come before this Court to Try the Issue Joyned as above which Jury are as Followeth
Which Jury being duely sworne to Try the Issue Joyned and haveing heard the whole matter the Court giveth them their Charge who withdraw some time to consider on the p.rmises and returne and upon their Oathes Declare that the said W.m Ford is not guilty as he stands Indicted therfore it is considered by this Court that the said W.m Ford goe from hence without Day Simon Wilmer Clk Thomas Carman Peticons this Court that he may be Free and have his Estate delivered to him It is Therfore upon consideracon Ordered that the said Thomas Carman be Free the Third Tuesday in August next being consen.t to an Order of Court passed in Talbot Court and that then he have his Estate delivered to him by those that have to in trust Simon Wilmer Clk |
