Command was Given to y.e sheerif of Kent County y.e 28.th day of Jan.ry
Anno Dom 1696 that by good and lawfull men of his Bailiwick he
make Knowne unto W.m True if he should be found in his Bailiwick
soe that he be and appeare before his Maj.ties Justices att y.e Next to shew
cause if &c.a why Execucon should not Issue ag.t him for One hundred
Forty and Two pounds of Tobaccoe according to a Judgm.t obtained ag.t him
the 27.th day of March Anno Dom 1695 by Charles Tilden

Att which Court viz the 23.th day of March Anno Dom 1696 came
Capt Edward Sweatnam high sheerif of sd County and made returne
of the said Writt in these following words viz I have made Knowne
unto the within menconed W.m True before James Conway and Tho
Stephens that he be and appeare &c.a to shew cause &c.a as by this within
precept I am commanded p Edw Sweatnam sheft

And Now here att this day the sd W.m True Neither by himselfe nor by
his Attorney shewing any reasonable cause why Execucon should not
Issue according to the aforsd Judgm.t

Therfore it is considered by this Court that the Plant Charles ^Tilden^ doe recover
from the Defend.t W.m True as well the aforesd sume of One hundred Forty
and Two poundes of Tobaccoe according to the aforesd former Judgment
as allsoe the sume of One hundred Twenty and six poundes of Tob cost
of suit

John True the 27.th day of March Anno Dom 1695 by Charles Tilden

Att which Court viz the 23.th day of March Anno Dom 1696 the day
of the Returne of sd writt came Capt Edward Sweatnam high sheerif
of sd County and made returne of sd Writt in these following Words
made Knowne unto the within menconed W.m True before James Conway
and Thomas Stephens that he be and appeare to shew cause &c.a as by this
precept I am commanded Edw Sweatnam sheff
