This Indenture made y.e fourteenth Day of July in y.e tenth yeare of y.e Dominion of
Charles absolute L.d & Propriatory of y.e Province of Maryland and Avalon Lord
Barron of Baltemore & in y.e yeare of our Lord God one Thousand six hundred & eighty
five Between William Thomas of y.e County of Kent & in y.e Province of Maryland plan.tr
& Susana his wife of y.e one party and Daniell Kelly & William Sheell of y.e afores.d
County & province plant.r of y.e other partt Wittnesseth that y.e s.d William Thomas &
Susana his wife for & in Consideration of nine thousand pounds of good sound merchantable
tobacco in Caske att y.e time of y.e insealing and Delivery of these p.rsentments
well & sufficiently undertaken & secured to be mayed to y.e s.d William Thomas by the
s.d Daniel Kelly & by William Sheell & also for Divers Good Causes Considerations
him thereunto the s.d William Thomas Especially moveing have given granted alianed
bargaine sold enfeoffed & Confirme and by these p.rsents Doth fully Clearely and
Absolutely give grant bargaine sell enfeoffe Alien & Confirme unto y.e s.d Daniell
Kelly & William Sheell their heirs or assignes for ever all that tract or parcell of Land
scituate lying and being in Kent County & in A bay in y.e s.d County Called Langfords
bay Containing and now Layed Outt for one hundred & Fivety acres begining at a
marked Red oake standing by a branch side and Runing up the branch Northeast seventy
five pearches to a marked gum tree then east three hundred & twenty pearches one from y.e
end of y.e s.d east line runing south west seventy five pearches and from y.e end of y.e south
west line with a line Drawen West unto y.e Fores.d marked Red oake y.e s.d tract of land
& being partt of a tract of land of one thousand acres Called Kedgerston & formerly belonging
unto Robert Kedger in y.e County of S.t Marys in y.e Province afores.d which
s.d one hundred & Fivety acres of land w.th all its Rights members Jurisdicttions profitts
benifits Comodities & appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise apertaining and
also all the Rights interests use possessions property Claime or Demand whatsoever
of him y.e William Thomas & Susana his wife in or to the same: And also all Deeds
writtings Charters Pattents or transcripts whatsoever touching of Containing y.e p.rmises
or any partt of or parcell of them To have & To hold y.e s.d tract of Land and all &
singuler y.e p.rmises hereby grantted bargained & sold with all its Rights members or appurtenances
whatsoever unto y.e s.d Daniell Kelly & William Sheell their heirs and assignes
to y.e only Proper use and behooffe of y.e s.d Daniell Kelly & William Sheell their
heirs & assignes for ever And that y.e s.d William Thomas for himselfe his heirs
executors administrators and assignes y.e s.d tract of land and all other y.e p.rmises before
granted bargained & sould with y.e appurtinances unto y.e s.d Daniell Kelly & William
Sheell to y.e proper use & behoofe of y.e s.d Daniell Kelly & W.m Sheell their heirs
& assignes for ever Against him y.e s.d William Thomas & Susana his wife their heirs
and assignes & all & every other person or persons whatsoever lawfully Claiming
by From or under them him or any of them shall and will warrant and Defend forever
by these p.rsents and that y.e s.d William Thomas and Susana his wife their heirs
and assignes Doe Covinant and gree with y.e s.d Daniell Kelly & William Sheell
their heirs & Assignes: And every of them shall & maye by force & vertue of these
p.rsents from time to time and at all times for ever hereafter lawfully peaceably
& Quiettly have hold occupy Possess and Enjoy y.e s.d tract of land and all and
singuler the before grantted p.rmises: with their Rights members appurtenances
and have Receive and take y.e Issues & proffits thereof to their own proper
proper use & behooffe for ever withoutt any lawfull lett suit trouble Deniall
intereption eviction or Disturbance of the s.d William Thomas and Susana
his wife their heirs or assignes or any other person or persons whatsoever lawfully
Claiming by from or under them or by their meanes act Consent title
interest or procuerment and that Free & Clear and freely and Clearly
acquitted and Discharged or otherwise from time to time well and sufficiently
