709 Command was given to the sheerif of Kent County y.e 26.th day of November Anno Dom 1696 that he Attach of the goods Chattles debts or Credits of Thomas Collins if they should be found in his Bailiwick to the value of Two Thowsand One hundred Forty and Five and ^a^ halfe poundes of Tobaccoe a certain debt and cost recovered against him by John Chaires at a Court held for sd County the 24.th day of November Anno Dom 1696 and that by good and Lawfull men &c.a he make Knowne in whose hands he makes y.e same Attachm.t soe that &c.a be before our Justices att the next Court to be held for said County to shew &c.a Att which Court viz this present day the day of the returne of the Writt aforesaid came Capt Edward Sweatnam high sheriff of said County and made returne of the said Writt in these words viz To the Justices within menconed I doe humbly certifie that I have Attached One Negroe man of the proper goods and Chattles of the said Thomas Collins to sattisfie unto the within John Chaires the debt and cost aforesaid and have made Knowne unto Barbara Collins the wife of him the sd Thomas Collins that he she or they be & appear att the & place as the said Writt directs before W.m Hackett & Jn.o Hackett Two good and Lawfull men of my Bailiwick And the said Thomas Collins by Robert Smith Esq comes into Court and the said Robert Smith becomes Especial Bail for the saw Thomas Collins in the Accon brought ag.t the said Thomas by John Chaires as aforesaid and promiseth to this Court that the said Thomas shall pay the condemnacon if cost of he will doe it for him Simon Wilmer Clk
