Command was given to the sheerif of Kent County to take the
Body of Charles Hollingsworth Jun.r if he should be found in his
Bailiwick soe that he have his Body before his Maj.ties Justices att
the Next Court to be held for said County to Answer unto Nathaniel
Wright of a plea that he render unto him 4800.ll of Tobaccoe w.ch
&c.a Wittnesse William Frisby Gent &c.a the 26.th day of August
Anno Dom 1696

Att which said Court viz the 27.th day of October Anno Dom
1696 being adjourned from the 22.th day of Sepcember 1696
the day of the returne of the said Writt came Capt Edward Sweatnam
high sheerif of said County and returned the said Writt in these
following Words viz Cepi Corpus p Edw Sweatnam sheeff

which said accon as above being called the said Defend.t by Sam.l
Withers his Attorney appeared and Imparled until Next Court
the same day is given to the Plt likewise which being still continued
from Court to Court to this present day but the said Defd.t
neither by himselfe Nor by his Attorney makeing any defence ag.t
the same Judgm.t is Awarded by Default

Therfore it is Considered by this Court that the Plt Nathaniel
Wright doe recover from the Defend.t Charles Hollingsworth
Jun.r as well the aforesaid sume of Four Thowsand Eight hundred
poundes of Tobaccoe as allsoe the sume of Two hundred
Ninety and Five poundes of Tobaccoe cost of suit
