This Indenture made y.e twenty seventh Day of Jan.ry in y.e tenth yeare of
y.e Dominion of Charles absolute L.d prop.ry of Maryland & Avalon Anno q
Dom one thousand six hundred eighty and four Betweene John Abraham of
Kent County plant.r of y.e one p.t and John Percifall of y.e same County Plant.r
Wittnesseth y.t y.e s.d John Abraham For & in Consideration of y.e sume of fifteen
hundred pounds of tobacco to him in hand paied at or before the Ensealing and Delivery
of these p.rsents by y.e s.d John Persifall the Receipt whereof the s.d John Abraham
Doth acknowledge himselfe therewith fully Satisfied Contented and paied and of
every ^part^ and parcell thereof Doth Cheerely & absolutely exonerate acquitt and Discharge
y.e s.d John Percifall his heirs Executors and Administrators for ever By these p.rsents
hath given granted bargained sould suffered & Confirmed And by these p.rsents Pleaded
And absolutly give grant bargaine sell alinate enfeoffed & Confirmed unto him the s.d
John Percifall his heirs & assignes for ever all his Right title and intrest in y.t partt of
A Division of Land Called by the name of Hinchingham formerly belonging unto Stephen
Whettstone & going on the north side of swan Creeke near unto the head of the Creeke
adjoyning unto Edward Chesters Land as may farther appear of y.e cattells and Course
in a Certaine [illegible] bearing Date y.e eightteenth Day of Jan.ry in the first
yeare of y.e Dominion of Charles Absolute L.d & Propry of Maryland &c Annqui Dom
Christe 1696 For partt of a Parcell of Land name hitchingham as afores.d bargained
and sould unto y.e s.d John Abraham: And y.e s.d John Persifall [illegible]
Conveyance [illegible] may appeare Containing seventy five acres more or
less Togather w.th all and singuler y.e Rights and benifits thereunto belonging And also
all Pattents Deed writtings Evidences or manuscripts touching or in any ways
[illegible] y.e premises or any Partt of parcell of them with all & singuler y.e
rights members Jurisdicttions Priviledges Proffitts or benifits thereunto belonging
or in any wise Appertaining To have & to hold y.e Parcell or tract of Land
with all & singuler y.e before bargained p.rmises unto him y.e s.d John Parsefall his
heirs and assignes for ever And y.e s.d John Abraham Do for himselfe his heirs
executors administrators and assignes the s.d Parcell or tract of Land from all
manner of Persons whatsoever Clayming by from or under him shall & will for
ever hereafter warrant and Defend by these p.rsents the Rents & services which
from time to time for and in Respect of y.e p.rmises w.ch growe Due & paiable
to y.e Chieffe Land or Lands for or in Respect of his or their signiory or signiorys
only excepted and foreprized: And further y.e s.d John Abraham his heirs or administrators
shall and will at y.e Reasonable Request & Crop or Cost and Charges my
law of him y.e s.d John Parcifall his heirs executors administrators or assignes
make Do execute & suffer or Cause to be made Done executed or suffered all and
every such farther or other act or acts thing or things Device or Devices assuerance
or assuerances whatsoever Requisett in y.e Premises for the better assuering and more
sane makeing of y.e bargained prmisses unto y.e s.d John Parcifall his heirs executors
administrators or assignes for ever be it by enrolment fine Feofem.t or other wise
or any such lawfull wayes or meanes as by the s.d John Parcifall his heirs executors
administrators or assignes or their Counsell Learned in y.e law shall be reasonably
advised Devised or Required in wittnes whereof the s.d John Abraham have hereunto
sett his hand & Seale y.e Day and yeare above written
