And now here att this day to witt the 18.th day of August Annoq
Dom 1696 came as well the said Dennis Council by Benjamin
Peck his Attorney as allsoe the said Samuel Tailor by
Samuel Withers his Attorney &c.a

And the said Samuel Tailor by his said Attorney as before
comes and defends the force and Injury when &c.a And for
plea he saith he is not guilty and of this he puts himself
upon the Country

Which said cause now comeing before this Court the Plt
not prosecuting his said Accon any farther Judgment is
Awarded for a Non suit

Council as well the sume of Fifty poundes of Tobaccoe
for his falce clamer as allsoe cost of suit

Kent fs     Thomas Browne otherwise called Thomas Brown
                late of Talbot County Plt.r was summoned to
                Answer to Thomas Bruff of a plea that he render
                him the full and just sume or quantitie of
                four hundred and fifty poundes of good sound
                Merchantable Tobaccoe he put in caske which
                to him he Oweth and from him he unjustly
                deteineth

And wherupon the said Thomas Bruff by William Hemsley
his Attorney saith that whereas the said Thomas Browne
the 14.th day of March Anno Dom 1686 in sd County within
the Jurisdicon of this Court by his certaine bill or writing
obligatory sealed with his seale as his Act and deed delivered
and here in Court brought whose date is the same day &
yeare did bind himselfe his Heires Executors and Adm.rs to
pay or cause to be paid unto the said Thomas Bruff
