May the better be Knowne and Enquired of And lastly Wee have
appointed Simon Wilmer Gent to be Clerke and Keeper of the
records and proceedings in this Your said County and therfore
You shall cause to be brought before You on the dayes and
att the place aforesd the Writts precepts processe and Indictm.ts
to Your Court and Jurisdicon belonging that the same may
be inspected and by due course be determined as aforsd
Wittnesse our Trusty and well beloved Francis Nicholson
Esqr our Capt Gen.l and Govern.r in cheif in and over our
Province or Territory of Maryland the Five and Twentieth
day of July in the Eighth Yeare of our Reigne Annoq Dom
1696

William the third by the grace of God of England Scotland
France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith &c.a To
William Frisby John Hinson Hance Hanson of Kent
County Gent Greeting Wee doe hereby Authorise and
Impower You the said John Hinson and Hance Hanson or
either of You to Administer the Oathes appointed by Act
of parliament to be taken instead of the Oathes of Alleigance
and Supremacy as allsoe the Oath of Justice of the peace
to the said William Frisby and You the said William Frisby
haveing taken the sd Oathes are to Administer same to the
sd John Hinson and Hance Hanson and the rest of the Justices &
Comicon.rs of the said County respectivly as they are Named in
the within Written Comicon and that You and Every of You
subscribe the Test & for soe doeing this shall be Your sufficient
authority hereof fail not and when You have soe don You are
to Certifie the same under Your hands and seales unto us in
our high Court of Chancery with all Convenient speed Wittness
our Trusty and well beloved Francis Nicholson Esqr our Cap.t
Gen.l and Govern.r in Cheif in and over our Province and Territory
of Maryland the 25.th day of July in the 8.th Yeare of our Reign
annoq Dom 1696
